Lang Recruiting is partnering with a respected and growing law firm to identify an experienced Family Law Attorney who is passionate about advocating for clients during some of the most important and emotionally complex moments of their lives. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney who thrives in a collaborative environment, leads by example, and brings both strategic legal expertise and emotional intelligence to every case.
Position Overview
As a Senior Family Law Attorney, you will manage a sophisticated caseload involving divorce, child custody, parenting time, adoption, and other domestic relations matters. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the firm.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level legal counsel and representation in family law matters including:
- Divorce
- Child custody and parenting time
- Adoption
- Spousal support
- Other domestic relations matters
- Manage an active caseload of approximately 35 matters
- Develop tailored legal strategies based on individual client goals and case circumstances
- Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documentation
- Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, negotiations, and trials
- Maintain consistent and proactive communication with clients throughout the legal process
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality legal service and operational consistency
- Mentor and support other legal professionals within the firm
- Participate in department meetings and contribute to process improvements
- Maintain strict adherence to professional ethics and client confidentiality
- Engage with the community through professional organizations, speaking engagements, nonprofit involvement, and legal education initiatives
Qualifications
- Significant experience practicing family law
- First-chair courtroom experience strongly preferred
- Outstanding command of rules of evidence and litigation strategy
- Strong negotiation and client advocacy skills
- Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client demands
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with case management systems such as MyCase is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities

- Maintaining approximately 7–7.5 billable hours per day

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment and technology. The role is primarily sedentary but may require occasional travel for court appearances, meetings, or community engagement activities.
